New Patients

Welcome!

The initial office visit is a comprehensive consultation during which Dr. Flanagan will work with you to elicit a complete picture of your present condition as well as review your medical history, your past and current health concerns, nutrition and lifestyle. You may be asked to do laboratory or diagnostic testing, or provide a symptom or dietary diary. This visit will last about one hour and consist primarily of gathering information so that an appropriate treatment plan can be devised. A shorter second visit will be scheduled one week after the initial visit to discuss an individualized treatment plan. This is also a good time to raise any concerns or introduce information that may have been forgotten during the initial visit.

Insurance and Fees: Our policy is to handle the account payment at the time of each appointment. If you are covered by a health insurance plan Dr. Flanagan has contracted with, we will bill your insurance carrier for you. Please bring your insurance card with you to your first appointment so that we can make a copy of it; we cannot file your claim without it. We strongly encourage you to contact your insurance company prior to your appointment to confirm that we are a provider on your plan and that you understand what your benefits are. If your insurance covers Naturopathic care and is not one of our contracted insurance companies, you are responsible for the bill. We will provide the appropriate paperwork for you to send to your insurance company for out of network reimbursement. Payment due from deductibles, non-covered services, co-payments and natural pharmacy items is expected at the time of service.

Cancellations: We do understand that there may be extenuating circumstances; however, we request that any cancellations of your appointment be made 24 hours in advance. Please refer to the cancellation policy on the Office Policy page in the new patient forms which you will need to sign and bring to your first appointment.
